TÜPRAŞ – established in 1983, is a leading Turkish company specializing in the refining and distribution of petroleum products, it is Turkey’s largest industrial enterprise, Europe’s 7th largest refinery. Among four refineries with 30 million tons annual crude oil processing capacity and subsidiaries in sea & railway transportation and affiliate in fuel distribution sector, Tüpraş serves as an integrated company with both market share and corporate reliability. In line with its strategic transition plan, Tüpraş signed licensing agreement with Honeywell Ecofining Technology for SAF production from waste vegetable oil and fats with 400 kton/year feedstock capacity by 2030. It is very crucial for Tüpraş to contribute emerging renewable fuel technologies to gain biofuel production flexibility relying on alternative feedstocks such as woody wastes, algal biomass, industrial waste gases, processed through various technologies.
